I recently moved into a home with a in-ground steel wall pool that was originally built in 1976. The previous owner switched it over to SWG and put in a new vinyl liner (looks like he did it himself
). We are now finding rust like spots on the stairs and the shallow-end, which appear to be spreading. I noted that vitamin C can remove the stains, but should I be concerned that the steel walls themselves are rusting through the vinyl (if that's even possible?).
