I have 14 Pentair 542411 fittings, that have 2 gaskets, one for inside and one for outside i assume. I have a new fiberglass pool and really hate to screw this up. Amazingly, there is no installation diagram or manual for the fittings, that I have been able to find. The person helping me is indicating to throw the gaskets away and use silicone. I am resisting, as that seems nuts to me to toss a good gasket, but then perhaps they are for vinyl, but that is where an install detail would be nice. Any thoughts or opinions on these fittings and where the gaskets stay or go, with or without silicone? Would anyone know of an install diagram for these Pentair 542411 fittings.
