How soon do I need to back fill?

We are installing a 16 x 28 oval semi inground about 2ft. After the pool is filled. How soon or long can I wait to back fill against the pool? Any suggestions on what is best to back fill with? We have clay and sand soil.
I will post the spec's on pool & filter shortly. Excited to finaly get this started.

You can backfill as soon as the water level in the pool is higher than the level to which you are backfilling. Or you can wait and backfill much much later.

Make sure that whatever you backfill with is something that drains well. You don't want any more moisture building up in that area then you have to.
