We just bought a house that will close escrow soon. I am a DIY in most things but not pool maintenance (hoping to change that). I am not sure if the seller moves out yet but am concern the pool not being serviced for a long lapse is a bad idea. I will need to talk to agent tomorrow and get some info as this concern just came up tonight.

Thanks for reading.

I just wanted to welcome you again. Love the pic you uploaded of the pool. Good luck with it! You will do fine with the test kit! Ask anything you need answered as the only dumb question is the question not asked! Hope you enjoy TFP!

welcome to TFP.
Not really sure what you consider a long lapse. If its weeks, then the pool will probably grow algae if the chlorine level isnt kept up.
Thats can be resolved easily enough, its a PITA, but can be fixed.

If you mean there is no water in it for a year, well that might be a different story.
