Sand Filter/Pump setup

I recently got a Pool, Sand Filter and Pump second hand with no manuals. I have the pool up. I cannot figure out the hose placement.

I have the Hayward S244T Filter and Hayward pump.

The Pool has 2 holes (Supply/Return) and Pool Skimmer.

So, here is my question... I see where the pump and filter connect. I see the return line on filter and I see the waste line. Waste line being for backwash, correct? I feel like I am 1 connection short, so waht am I missing?

Skimmer connects to what?
Exiting pool water connects to what?
Water back to pool connects where?

Take a look at the "Sand Filter" sticky at the top of the Pumping Station forum, that should help. I'm pretty sure our multiports are identical.

Skimmer to pump pot.
Pump out to multiport inlet.
Multiport out/return to pool return.
Waste will dump water overboard. Most people use a fitting to connect some length of hose to get the water away from the pool.
