    Post Comparing Pool Store Tests

Posted this in one of my previous threads, but I thought it was worth sharing on its own.

Yesterday morning I got three sample bottles and took a sample to each of the three pool stores in my area. The sample water was taken exactly the same at the same time. All three pool store tests were done within an hour of each other. Here are their results:

    Code:
    Test Store#1 Store#2 Store#3

    TC 10 3 0.14 FC 10 3 1.25 TA 120 - 50 PH 7.5 7.6 7.2 CYA 20 100 0 CH - - 10 Copper - 0.5 -
A clear indicator of why you cannot trust pool store testing... FYI, my TF-100 should be here tomorrow!

This one is getting saved alongside this thread: http://www.troublefreepool.com/threa...cy-in-readings
16K freeform gunite with spa; Pentair 4000 DE filter; Century Whisperflow 1 HP; Pentair Minimax heater.
Troublefree does not mean Maintenancefree. It's like brushing your teeth: You can spend a couple minutes a day and pennies a week or go to the dentist once a year and spend several thousand dollars.
A pool is like a pet - you have to feed it every day, even the days you don't want to play with it!
