I have a Haywood skimmer and am hesitant in installing it. It's not cutting the liner that concerns me. I am thinking I will loss water depth in order for it to effectively work. Can anyone tell me if I will loss any water depth?
AFAIK as long as you install it at the correct height there shouldn't be any impact on water depth.
Maybe I don't understand the question though... is the issue that you have the water level high enough that the frame rails would interfere with mounting the skimmer high enough ? I *think* the weir door should give you effective skimming even if the water level is fairly far up the skimmer opening, but I don't have hands-on experience with that yet (skimmer is ordered but not here yet).
