Hi guys, finally started our pool. Decided that we can get much more pool than if we go with a pool builder. Below is the plan that we are going with.

Our backyard has been pretty empty for the past 5 years.

Oh man... that back yard is just BEGGING for a pool!!!

Can't wait to see it completed!

First major problem: Was at home when dig started but had to go to work. Wife was home when excavator finished. Excavator dug only one hole for a skimmer and it is in the wrong place. Memo to self and others: next time make sure pool designer marks on design where skimmers should go.

That's me using the jackhammer digging a new hole for the skimmer.

To the side of the house and then to the pool equipment area, barbecue, and two fire woks.

Won't be able to charge my Leaf in the garage for a couple of weeks until electric goes in the same trench and after first inspection.

Hi Lacey, I love my Leaf. No maintenance, no fluids or belts to change ever. Quietest car you will ever drive. Have to be careful if you live in a hot climate like Phoenix, it will wear out the battery much quicker. I have lost about 18 percent capacity in 19 months. However, I drive a lot. I have put over 29,500 miles so far. If you live in a more moderate climate, the battery will last much longer.

Plumbers are here today with all the pool equipment, will have more pics tomorrow of plumbing when they are done. By the way, we opted to not go with the in-floors. Will be getting the Dolphin M5.

Spanky, you can PM me and I'll send you the list of subs I used. Yes we brought all our equipment from Marshall. His prices are pretty competitive and they will often match prices.
