Problems with the Taylor K-2006

I think if you were going to put a hose in you should put it in the DEEP END. The temperature of the water from the hose will be cooler than the pool water and might not dilute as fast if the hose is to the bottom of the deep end and hopefully would displace the slightly warmer water up and towards the shallow end.
Someone had a great idea of using a tarp. That would keep the new water separate from the old water. Nice thing is a lot of us have a tarp that big on hand to cover our pools in the winter. Fill on top of the tarp and pump from under it. That way you wouldn't be pumping out any of the "new" water and it would be a bit faster and more economical than draining it, filling it, draining it, .... Especially if you're some place where water is expensive :(
