My brother has taken the plunge.
He has purchased a 5000 gallon lap pool.
It has a UV system.
It is working and sitting inside his garage.
He is brand new to pool ownership.
After filling he has already come across his first issue.
He is losing 2ppm of fc overnight.
Ph - 7.4
Alkalinity 100
Calcium 50
Cya 0
Fc 0 (now)
Cc 1
I have shared this site and a ton of information from
It.
I would suggest he brush and slam to 10ppm, to kill
Whatever may be in his brand new water.
With his cya at 0 and indoors I figured 10 ppm of fc
Would be high enough.
He will eventually add borates too, but he wants to
Face this hurdle first.
Any suggestions for him.
thanks,
PF
