    Brown oil from light fixture

    I am draining my pool for CYA and CH reasons, and a brown oil oooze came out of the bottom of the light fixture. It is not water soluble . Gunite Pool built in 85
    Problem??
    20,000 gallons in-ground, plaster, built in '85
    Sand filter specs TBD
    Pump info TBD
    Solar Breeze skimmer, TF100

    Problem.

    Can you pull the fixture to see if it is coming from inside the housing or from the niche?

    Just some brown slime that had collected in the fixture. Thanks

    Algae perhaps

    Inside as in udder the glass? Or between the fixture and the niche?
