trouble with cloudy pool

hello
i have a 1500 gallon oval above ground pool with a Hayward PowerFlo LX 1.0hp pump and a sand filter. pool pump broke over the winter pool so pool was filled with algae, fix problem. vacuumed pool put 3 lbs of shock and algaecide waited 24 hours,pool was cloudy vacuumed again put 2 lbs shock still cloudy. put clarifier in twice pool is still cloudy. what can i do everything is good except ph is a little high. any suggestions.

Please define "everything is good". We like numbers. Please post up your test results and what kit was used to get them.
