Xtreme Power AGP auto vacuum + Intex UF = no??

I'm not sure if this needs a skimmer to operate with (I have never owner an auto vac) but I would assume it does. Do you have a skimmer box modification on your pool?
 
We don't. The sand filter/SWG combo has a pre filter basket but we don't have a skimmer. We've rigged a setup that will do for now. Been busy and forgot to post pictures of what we're working with. Thank you for your reply! I will try to post pics ASAP.
