New Gunite Pool, New T-100 results?!?

We plastered with acid wash 2 weeks and 5 days ago.
PB added 3 or 4 gallons acid 1 week and 5 days ago.
PB added 13 bags (520lbs.) salt 5 days ago.
I added 1/2gal acid yesterday morning.

I have been water testing daily for the last week Chlor and PH.

This morning's first full T-100 test as follows:

    FC 2
    CC .5
    TC 2.5
    pH 8.2
    CH 250
    TA 60
    CYA <20
Salt 4000 (SWG set on 60%, pump running 24/7)

Any thoughts or suggestions??? PB says pH is good! Obviously he is not on board with TFP!! I was thinking about adding more MA??
    Thanks

    Is PB done?

If so, then, yes, lower pH a bit. And raise CYA. Running 24/7 with SWG at 60%, your FC should be off the scale. The sun is destroying it almost as fast as it can be generated.

When the plaster stops shedding dust, you can start turning down the pump run time and save some cash. And when that happens, the SWG won't be able to keep up with the solar load, so get some stabilizer (CYA) in there first.

PB has to hookup gas line and replace remote but he is done as far as adding chemicals. He said he would be back in a couple of weeks!! PB said acid wash after plaster removed most of the dust and I have not seen much while brushing?! Filter pressure has gone up less than 3% too.

Is there a stabilizer (what and where to get) everyone uses? And how soon should I keep adding MA? With pump running, I'm turning over 3-4 times a day. I am ready to turn that pump down to 8-10 hrs/day.$$$$ PB had it at 3500rpm and I turned it down to 2500 because it is overkill for the size.
    Thanks for the advice!!

Any CYA with no additional stuff in it will work. I get mine at Wal-mart- called "stabalizer", or the pool store will have it. Use the pool math to see how much you need. Fill up an old sock with it and hang or place in your skimmer (don't block the whole basket). It takes at least a day to soften up, then mush the sock with your hands until the CYA comes out. You need lots of CYA with a salt pool (at least 60). Also knock down that Ph to around a 7.5.....

Back to Pool School with you!

http://www.troublefreepool.com/conte...pool-chemicals tells you what to add and how.
http://www.troublefreepool.com/conte...rine-generator gives you some targets. Don't obsess on TA and CH. You're okay for the moment on those.
http://www.troublefreepool.com/conte...-pump-run-time will help you settle on a reasonable pump time.

Now that you're doing it, a lot of the stuff in Pool School will make more sense than it did the first time you read it.
