passed OCLT, but need some advice

OK, so I opened up a week ago to a green swamp, and thanks to the help here, the green is gone and last night I passed the OCLT, but I want to be cautious before assuming I'm done slamming.

So, last night at 9pm
FC: 25
CC: .5 or less (could barely tell if it even turned pink on adding the CC regent)

This morning at 5:30am
FC: 24.5
CC: same

Right around 8am this morning:
FC: 21
CC: Same
Ph: 7.5
TA: 70
CH: 150 (based on a recent test)
CYA: 60 (based on multiple recent tests within the last week, didn't redo this one today because sun isn't out)

I'm using the TF-100 for my tests and BBB for my chemicals.

I've been SLAMming the last week, and right now
1. the water is crystal clear
2. CC is .5 or less
3. Overnight FC loss test shows less than 1

BUT, I have this little brown dusty stuff that keeps showing up and I'm not sure if it's something to be worried about. It collects around seams mostly, does not shy away from the sun, is fairly easy to brush off (I don't have to 'scrub' but brush needs to have a little contact), and doesn't show up on the walls. (only floor surfaces)

Here are a number of pics. You can see that I have stuff peeling off of the skimmer sock, and see the brown collections along with the cloudy result of brushing.

What do you think? Do I need to keep slamming? Do I need to slam at mustard algae levels?

Looks like general, plain ol' garden variety schmutz to me.

I think dead algae or dirt that is settling to the floor and getting stuck in the seams. It should filter out over time ... or vacuum to waste.

Keep and eye on your numbers - if you start to see some weird deviations (more FC use than expected or more CCs) it means I'm wrong and you should start the slam back up.

I think the problem is that the water is so clear you can see every speck.

Go look at the windowsills and the patio furniture. If they have dust on them, it's also getting into your pool.

Passing the OCLT is pretty definitive. I think you are safe in allowing your FC to drift back to 4-6 ppm as a normal operating range. Nice work on getting your pool in good shape so quickly.

Do you have a high pollen count in your area. It's bad enough here it coats the windshield and when you turn the cleaner on the wipers make a goo that looks just like that on the side of the windshield. Might explain why you have perfect numbers and ick showing up.

I agree on the pollen. It's horrible here.

That first picture looks like what settles on the bottom when cottonwood trees blow out their seeds - which in my area was the last week or two. besides regular pollen we had all this cottony stuff that when it sank to the bottom looked just like your picture!

I've been having a lot of debris in my pool this year, too. I did have to SLAM shortly after opening but even after I passed the OCLT and my CC was below 0.5, I was still seeing those clouds of dirt. I think it's just pollen. In my area everything bloomed late because it was such a cold and long winter. There's been more stuff in the pool than there usually is at this time. I honestly don't remember ever seeing those clouds of dirt in prior years but then again I never brushed the pool from the outside before so it's possible I've never noticed.
