    Hayward pump running hot

I just installed a brand new Hayward 1.5 hp Power Flo Matrix pump and noticed that it seems to run really hot. I know it has an automatic cutoff feature if it overheats, but am just wondering how hot is normal? Thanks!
there has to be a cheaper way to stay cool

You probably won't want to hold your hand on the motor while running. Mine runs about 150F in the shade.
