How long before salt registers on a test strip?

Hi everyone, I tried searching but couldn't find this info...
How long before dumping a load of salt into an agp does it take to "register" on a test strip?

    Thanks!

It can take up to 24 hours with the pump running to fully mix salt into the pool water. Before then the readings may fluctuate both higher and lower than actual.

Thanks JasonLion. I had to dump in a lot more today. Test strips finally registered 3080 ppm and dumped in more to get it up to 3500 for my saltwaterpool. Could finally turn on the chlorinator!!!! Yay!
