Old pump motors. Advice?

I replaced three motors this spring. :-( The local motor guy said they were beyond repair.

I still have the old ones and they are heavy as ****. Is it worth my time to pull the copper out of them to sell to the recycler?

most recyclers I think give a higher price per pound for the motors vs. normal steal scrap. So, not sure if worth the effort or to just turn them in at the motor price ... I myself have 4 sitting around and have not bothered to figure out the best way either.
