Right size pump/filter for pool?

Just a little question here. If we purchase a 28x54 above ground pool, which holds an estimated 19,500 gallons, would a Hayward Xstream Full-Flo 150 square foot, 1 1/2 horsepower filtration system be enough? We are in the process of trying to pick out a whole new pool, filter system, everything. So I am trying to figure out what we want so we can compare prices on all we are looking at. Thanks!

You can get by with that setup. You'll be cleaning the filter more often maybe weekly or biweekly, it's a 15 minute job. You takeout the cartridge filter and rinse it off, replace. You might be able to go with a smaller motor, or even a two speed for energy savings.
