CYA test....how long?

I added 3lbs of granular stabilizer yesterday. How long does it take to show up on my tf-100 test? I did the test several times yesterday before adding and kept getting 0. Black dot never disappeared. Tested it this morning and black dot still did not disappear.

I takes a week for cya to show up on the test. Function on the assumption that you are at your targeted level.

Did you use the sock method to but the cya in?

Ok thanks. Yes I did use the sock method. Should I go ahead and add the other 2lbs.? It's a 5lb container. I need 363oz. per my pool math to get it to 70.

I would wait a week and check. Cya is not one you want to overshoot.
