We found railings and stairs on Craigslist for free, I painted the concrete and sidewalks Aqua blue and this is what it looks like today.

Holy Cow! Thanks so much for your fantastic pictures, I am glad you joined the forum. I think I understand the construction of my pool way better because of it. As poor condition as I considered my pool to be, I guess I will thank my lucky stars that I don't have what you had! I can see the difficulty inherent in re-setting a liner that has popped out of the coping. All my friends are spindly scientist types, i don't think any of them could be much help in working that liner into place as your friend.

That is amazing! Good on you and your team for such a great job. Must be sooo satisfying! DH and I are very DIY and laid 1500 sf of hardwood floors and stairs this winter but even we didn't tackle our pool reno ourselves. Very impressive!
