Salt test in fresh water pool?

Hello everyone,

I noticed that the pool calculator says bleach and dichlor raise salt in the pool. Do I need to test the salt level in my pool since it has been 3 years since a water change?

FC= 6
CC=0
TA=70
pH= 7.5
Borate= 30
CYA= 30
CH= 640
temp= 80F

Not really any reason to do so. You could ask the pool store if you are curious.

That CH is likely going to need attention in another year or so.

I agree that the CH will need attention. If there was no drought this year I would have acted on it this season.
