Anyone using a Sta-Rite System 3 Cartridge Filter?

I have ran into the same problem foreclosed house trying to get pool running. I used a DE cleaner from local pool supply worked great but the next day filter was blocked again I know I need to order new filters but wanted to get the pool somewhat clean before I do. What can I use that won't tear up the filters that is stronger the dish washing detergent. Will bleach eat up the filter or industrial purple degreaser?
