The TA at 80 looks perfect, unless you are planning on using trichlor tabs?

When i use muriatic acid to lower PH is the TA also going to be lowered ?
Leslies is telling me to add 5 lbs. of alkalinity up first to raise TA to 100, which will also raise PH out of range, then add muriatic acid to lower PH back to range.

You have fresh plaster. The pH and TA are going to rise back up in a hurry anyway.
If you plug your numbers into poolmath and set your pH target, it will calculate an acid dosage. Take that number and scroll down the page to Effects of Adding Chemicals and plug it in. It will show you how the acid will affect the pH and TA. Keep that in mind. Now go back up and change your Now TA to 100 and see what it does to the acid dose. It went up! Now go back down and plug that in and see what that dose does to TA. The pool store has you on a yo-yo. They will sell you one product and then another to cancel it! A little bit of acid to fix pH and be done with it. You might not even be able to detect the lowered TA with the test kit!

An alkalinity up is just overpriced repackaged baking soda. It's usually about 4X as expensive as it is at the grocery store for the exact same chemical!
