pool guy put bromine tabs in my chlorinator

Hi,
I have a 20,000 gallon gunite pool in SoCal, Riverside. The CYA levels were high, and the pool man put bromine tabs in my chlorinator. I didn't notice until the water was getting all foamy.
I took the tabs out, and shocked the pool. I don't know what to do. Is it possible the Bromine levels didn't get too high, or am I doomed? Thanks. Any help would be appreciated.

Just keep the FC up and keep circulating and filtering it.

Thanks for the advice.
I think if I want the pool chemistry correct, I'd better do it myself. I guess the pool guy was more concerned with keeping the water clear, than correct.

Sorry to hear about your Bromine problem, hopefully it is not too much as water replacement is about the only option to be rid of it.
