Filling New Pool

Does anyone see a problem with putting the solar cover on as I fill up the pool? There is about 2 feet of water right now.
Also I was told to only fill the pool during the day and not to leave the water run over night.

The initial fill, up to about 8 to 12 inches in the shallow end, should be done during the day when everything is as warm as possible without a cover. Once that first phase is complete it doesn't matter much when you fill it or if you use the cover.
