    Different versions of R-0871?

Hey TFP folks! Here's the question. Through the process of cleaning my green monster, I am starting to run low on the R-0871 that came in my TF-100 kit. After doing a search online for a refill bottle, I noticed many different versions or abbreviations after the name. Is there a difference and if so, is it a big deal or unnoticeable?

    FAS-DPD Titration Reagent (Chlorine)
    • Site 1 - R-0871-E Taylor FAS-DPD Titration Reagent (Chlorine)
    • Site 2 - Taylor Technologies R-0871-C-12
    • Site 3 - TF Site lists it as R-0871
    • Site 4 - Taylor Technologies R-0871-A - FAS-DPD Titrating Reagent

    Thanks for your help!

Those are sizes and package quantity designations. It's easiest to get what you need from TFtestkits.

It will be fresh and you'll get it faster than anywhere else.

The alphabet suffixes are the size of the bottle. Chemically, they're the same.

    Hey there!

I agree that it will be delivered faster than anywhere else BUT, here is the price difference which is key for me. I'm not going to list the site, only the price and qty. I bought my tf-100 and have recommended it to everyone else but I need to refill one item. If there is price matching, the TF store is a no-brainer!

    FAS-DPD Titration Reagent (Chlorine) 16oz = $19.49 / .75oz = $10.79 / 2oz = $14.99

If you want to get 16 oz then by all means do so. It will take a very long time to use that up and it may get too old before you do.

For those that may be lurking here, be aware that many places will list the -12 and -24 product numbers and only ship a single small bottle. This came up a couple of years ago when someone thought they had found an incredible deal at one of the major online sales sites.

    Re: Different versions of R-0871?

Under normal conditions, I would say that I would need just an average amount but as I am fighting a green monster and running a lot of tests, I need A LOT of the FC testing solution.

    Thanks everyone~

unless you buy it from tftestkits or from Taylor Technologies, you have no idea how old or storage conditions it's been thru. I wouldn't trust it.
