Bought our house 2 yrs ago. Pool was disaster. Got it going. Last year opened pool, beautiful and was ready to go. This year opened it up and was greenish. We use Simple Blue and did not know you don't use algaecide just put manager in and do normal opening. Well, we now have a foam pool. He put way to much algaecide in and whenever we turn the pump on it foams. How do we get rid of this? It is a 24' above ground. Do we have to drain and refill? Thanks for any help.

Adequate chlorine will normally make it go away after a couple of days.

Just another of the reasons we don't generally recommend their use in a properly maintained pool. Welcome!

Do you have one of these Test Kits ? If you don't I going to suggest you invest in one. I use the TF-100 along with many other members here. It's the right tool for maintaing your pool water chemistry. If you want to take control of your pool and not the pool store get yourself one.
Take some time and do some reading in Pool School. Lots of good info there. Here are a couple of good articles to start with.
