    Liquid chlorine/bleach effectiveness over time

I have 2 boxes full of liquid chlorine left over from last season (has been stored in the garage). Anyone have an idea how effective it is at this point?

The higher the strength the faster it degrades. It my have lost some of its potency.
You can test the strength by adding the amount pool math tells you and see if that brought your FC level up to your desired target or not. Test it an hour after you add. 😎

Ok, thank you! It's 12.5% I'll test it out.

I'd guess it's not 12.5% anymore. Test it like I said and see what happens. 😎

Just an idea of the shelflife of bleach or liguid chlorine:

Temperature has a big effect on it.

I don't know what it will be, but I can guarantee it wont be 12.5%. Even bought at that strength in the commercial market, fresh drums or bulk deliveries of rarely yield that percentage. At least in my experience. My guess is 8% or less.
