Hi, we have an Intex ultra frame 14x42 for about 2 weeks now. When we go on vacation for a week this summer should we put the cover on? I Plan on setting pump on timer while gone.

Great idea. Then you won't lose any FC to sunlight.
If you raise FC to shock level before you cover, it will probably still be above minimum when you get back. Don't be alarmed if you see high CC when the cover comes off. Without the UV rays from the sun, they won't dissipate. They'll go away in a day or so with the cover off.
