New pool build in North Texas! A long and skinny pool....

The leuder is going to look beautiful. I'm sorry you had to go through this and that you have to wait for the special order, but I am glad they are removing it without a big dispute. I can't wait to see it when it comes in. - Karen

So, they came today and demo the whole concrete coping. The amount of damage is pretty minimal, so I am happy about that. Out of 178 feet of coping, probably about 10-12 feet of waterline tiles were damaged, the top layer.

What gets me upset is that they know not to try to repair the broken tiles and they did it anyway! With just regular concrete to put the tiles back.

Good thing that I came home in time before the concrete set (my son had a soccer game).... So I just remove them all with my fingers.

This concrete crew are full of young kids that do jot follow directions. They know the stone tile mason is coming next week to do the repair and leuder stone coping anyway, and they still tried to put the tiles back and create more problems.

Oh NO they did not! Who in their right mind would even try to fix that and leave it when it looked SO bad! Thank goodness you came home in time to remove them. Your poor fingers :(

HUGS! You are so close. Maybe this is your "bad thing" to happen on your build. I hope it is the last.

Oh good grief. But at least you caught it and there is minimal damage to begin with. That's a great thing, and boy your tile is so pretty. I picked the same tile for our spa and spillover but we couldn't afford to do the whole pool. Its going to look really good next to the limestone. Really really good. Home stretch now. You'll be swimming soon and this will all be a story to tell by the pool over drinks.

New Leuder limestone copings are here! And we get the best stone mason crew Chris Bailey to work on the copings! Hopefully this build will finally get back on track soon. I really do jot want to have to brush the pool when the water is cold..... Or have the leaves falling when we plaster the pool.

Oh my goodness, that coping is sweet. I wish I'd known that was a thing before I picked mine. Which is stacked up in my back yard and they are coming to put it on today, so its definitely too late. But heck that is really beautiful. Your design choices are really sleek and beautiful.

Very nice coping, but *** were the "kids" thinking of trying to put that tile? dang!
Yes, they concrete crew has no respect if anything. The worst of it all is the owner of the concrete company is not able to get them under control with their behaviors. I have my own small business so I know it is not a good sign when the owners keep finding excuses for their workers, "they were just trying to help" was what was told to me when I told the designer and concrete sub owner about those ugly tiles their crew put on.

What a night and day difference....our pool is coming alive now finally. Kids are getting excited again. They were so disappointed that the pool was not done before the summer ended.... Now, we are almost to the decking and plastering!
