new kit arrived today. Also pool is 1 week.
Temp. = 80
FC = 6.5
CC = 0.0
TC = 6.5 (not sure if the rain yesterday and today made this jump up, cloudy days) SWG at 30% will try 20%
TA = 120 (been working on bringing this down, was 250)
CH = 125
CYA = 30 (had put 3 gallons of liquid stabilizer last Friday)
PH = 7.6
SALT = 3800
BORATES = 50

The liquid stabilizer should register on the test almost immediately, so that 3 gallons should have raise the CYA by 65ppm :scratch:

How much are you running your pump? You could shorten that instead of lowering the SWG output.

Yeah i thought the same about the liquid stabilizer also. Not sure what is going on with that. We did have a lot of rain the last 2 days. Running pool 12 hours currently

Purchased from Leslie's for 38 bucks a gallon,

WOW ... $100+, that would have bought a LOT of granular stabilizer from Walmart.

Unfortunately there is no way to return it as faulty since it has been used. Do you have any information about the actual product name and anything interesting it says on the label? Maybe it is just extra watered down or something?

Tips & Info

CYA is the hardest test to accurately measure. There are a few challenges to testing CYA in pool water such as: temperature (if pool water is less than 70 degrees or above 80 degrees will give an inaccurate result), pH (needs to be at 7.2), Calcium (over 300ppm will obscure results).

7.2 PH for a correct reading?

Directions for use:
Instant Pool Water Conditioner
One gallons of Instant Pool Water Conditioner will raise the conditioner/stabilizer level in 10,000 gallons (38,000L) of water by 32ppm. The recommended minimum conditioner/stabilizer level necessary to stabilize chlorine from sunlight loss is 30ppm.
Dosage for fresh water start-up (no conditioner/stabilizer present):
1. Divide pool volume in gallons by10,000 gallons to determine the number of gallons of Instant Pool Water Conditioner required
2. SHAKEWELL!
3. With circulation pump running,pour Instant Pool Water Conditioner into pool
skimmer slowly OR pour directly into pool water, while walking around
perimeter of the pool. Brush to speed absorption
4. Rinse container with pool water and shake
5. Pour remaining rinse solution into skimmer or pool
Maintenance Dosage:
1. Measure CYA level in pool using cyanuric acid test or have it tested by a p rofessional pool products supplier
2. If CYA level is less than 30ppm,calculate gallons of Instant Pool Water Conditioner needed using the following formula:
4oz added to 10,000 gallons = 1ppm increase of conditioner/stabilizer level
