    Vinyl pool walls
    Heater

    AG 18 feet accross 52" high pool wall 7000 gallons .... pool math = 7600
    Hayward extreme cartridge filter 100sq feet
    pool is heated by propane Hayward heater
    pool installed aug 12 2013

    16K freeform gunite with spa; Pentair 4000 DE filter; Century Whisperflow 1 HP; Pentair Minimax heater.
    Troublefree does not mean Maintenancefree. It's like brushing your teeth: You can spend a couple minutes a day and pennies a week or go to the dentist once a year and spend several thousand dollars.
    A pool is like a pet - you have to feed it every day, even the days you don't want to play with it!

    So having a heater doesn't matter

    AG 18 feet accross 52" high pool wall 7000 gallons .... pool math = 7600

    Nope. All the heater does is warm the water. Super high Calcium could clog it in a decade or two, and low pH could erode the copper heat exchanger. Stay close to those levels and you won;t have trouble with anything.
