Just trying to get started...not sure what to do next!

We got a free pool from a friend of ours. It is a 30' round Esther Williams pool with the aluminum decking with rails around it. It is a really nice pool, but we want to put it in the ground a couple of feet so that it is not sticking out in our back yard. We have the hole dug, and the sand delivered for the bottom. We are just stuck on what to use for back fill around the pool once we set it up in our hole. We dug the hole 3' bigger than the pool so we have plenty of room to work around it....any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Have you provided adequate drainage to carry the water away from the pool?

I'd put this in and then backfill with gravel. You don't want that pool sitting in a pond. It might float the liner up.
