    High Phosphate

My pool looks great. Total Chl is -1.2 Ph 7.4 but my pool dealer's test came back as High phosphate. They recommend a Phosphate remover. What do you think?

I recommend you raise your FC and ignore their phosphate recommendations.

    Re: High Phosphate

My phosphate level is extremely high and I never have any problems. Just ignore the phosphates sales pitch.

Phosphates mean diddly-squat as long as you maintain proper CYA and FC levels.

    Re: High Phosphate

Like the others have said, Phosphates are meaningless in a well balanced pool. Phosphates are algae food, and as long as you maintain proper FC levels there will be no algae, so it does not matter how much algae food you have around.
