    Skimmer shut off valves

Are these ball valves a suitable replacement for my two skimmers and center drain adjustment? Or is it better to pay $73 more to get the Neverlube's? I am going to replace my main pump and all plumbing is why I ask.

No. Use the search box for "ball valve" and you'll find page after page of threads where people complain of the handles breaking, air leaks, valves that won't turn anymore, you name it. Spend the extra and be done with it.

Troublefree does not mean Maintenancefree. It's like brushing your teeth: You can spend a couple minutes a day and pennies a week or go to the dentist once a year and spend several thousand dollars.
A pool is like a pet - you have to feed it every day, even the days you don't want to play with it!

that 73 dollars sounds like a pool store price. You can get 2 inch never lube Jandys for 40ish dollars every day all day long. Google Amazon.
