    i just got the pool filled and i need help understanding the chemical process

    Start with ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry and keep reading in Pool School it's not as complicated as it seems.

    +1 to that. The ABC's article is the best place to start. Once you understand the relationship between chlorine and CYA (stabilizer), you are 80% of the way there.

    Welcome to TFP, I would also recommend ordering a good test kit immediately ( TF100 or K-2006 )
