Wiring Question on Jandy EPump and Aqualink

Hello everyone,
First off, thanks in advance for reading this. Simple question I can't seem to get answered.
I'm installing/upgrading to a new pump and controller. I went with a Jandy setup including the JEP 2.0 and an iAqualink controller in a power center (and salt water generator).

With this setup does anybody know if I'm supposed to wire 230 directly to the pump, or should it go through relay #1 in the control panel. I've gotten two different answers on this topic and I figured if anyone knew it would be this group.

Welcome to TFP!

Other brands always have the pump directly connected to the breaker, and the Aqualink equivalent controls the pump through a data cable. I can't find anywhere that Jandy says that, but I assume it is the same for them as it is for the others.
