Will running a 2hp on low speed achieve same results of a 1 hp motor? Is 150sq' filter large enough for 24' round 54" AGP? Please advise. Need to pay for pool today and install is Wed.

Purchasing pump and filter together in package. I will upgrade and or change later as I become more familiar w pool. Just need to get started choices is package are limited.
That's what I have and I run the pump on low 24/7. I use high for vacuuming.

The low speed would be much less than 1 hp probably more in the range of .25 horse power. The 150 sq ft cartridge filter would be plenty large enough for that size pool.

Low speed is 1/8 the HP of high speed, so 1/4 HP in this case. That is plenty for this pool, and you still have high speed for times when you might need it, things like vacuuming or cleaning up algae.
Probably but will do that down the road. Have connections for future pool equipment. Just want to get things up and running right now.
