First time adding borates to my pool

And I was wondering if that would be ok to use instead of regular muriatic acid. I picked it up cause of the less fumes and odor statement. Thought I would ask here before adding to my pool, can't seem to find the strength on it. And If I do use it, should I adjust the numbers that poolmath tells me to use? Thanks,

It's still muriatic acid, just weaker. 15%

Thanks! So I assume if poolmath calls for one gallon of 31%, I would need to add 2 gallons of 15 percent?
