    Re: Running Filter How Long

heh - I am rural too I know the feeling. no lights in my pool, they attract too many bugs.

I run my little toy pump between 6 and 8 hours presently, but I have a cover on the pool most of the time. I adjust times for whatever is working. over the winter 2 or 4 hours was plenty. when I first started cleaning the gunk off the bottom last month, I ran it 24 hours for a few days.
somewhere around 6,400 gal 18 x 4 foot round Intex Ultra Frame AG, no clue on hp of pump - looks like a dang toy, "A" cartridge filter, finished filling August 29, pump up and running August 30, 2013 --- July 2015 upgraded to Krystal Clear 3000 GPH pump and 16" sand filter --- May 2016 Intex auto cleaner and in July salt system and Hayward skimmer
