How thick?

I was going to pick up pavers today but was not sure if I should go with 2" or 4" thick pavers? Its for a 30' round Swim N Play AGP. Also I noticed in he instructions it only shows putting pavers under where the uprights are located. Years ago and I mean back in the late 80's I help my dad put an AGP up and back then the used pavers under the entire bottom track. Is there a reason why besides saving on the number of pavers you would not put then under the entire track?

I put pavers under the entire track of my pool so I didn't have to recess the pavers for the supports. I was in a hurry. I used 12"x12"x1" pavers.

I used 2" octagonal walking stone pavers under just the supports.

Ok I just picked up the 2" thick 8x16 pavers. Looks like they should work.
