18 Dollar Shut off valves on my AGP

I'd been searching threads looking how to install shut off valves on my filter and return.
Seems like everybody went the way of hard plumbing everything.
I thought I'd do a cheap and easy way.
Maybe one day I'll hard plumb, but these are pretty nice for me, I love em already.
Took me about an hour and only 18 dollars!!

I need to do this! I'm not so hard pressed to go with all PVC. Looks good!

How did you fasten the valve to the skimmer? Is it glued?

I think the bottom of the skimmer has a threaded hole

Yes I just remove the skimmer bottom 1 1/2 threaded pipe and put it on the opposite end of the shut off valve, I then put a 2 inch male to male connetion back into the skimmer part and screwed it back in. I did use teflon tape and silicone. My parts list was 4 items.

    2 1 1/2 shut off valves
    2 2 inch 1 1/2 male to male connectors.

Can I ask where you purchased the male to male connectors? I'm having a hard time finding them online.

You should be able to find them at any good PVC outlet. Like a sprinkler supply house. Online I would think they would be fairly easy to locate. You migh PM this poster to ask them for a faster response.
