Variable speed pump and opening pool

Quick question. I have a variable speed pump. Is it better to run it at full speed for the 24-72 hours it takes to clear up the green pool or to run the pump at my normal 1600 rpm for the amount of time.

You want to run at a medium speed. You are balancing out two conflicting goals. More water through the filter means more dead algae filtered out of the water. However, less water through the filter means more efficient filtering.
