New Pool, and some concerns

Well at least two concerns. I just had an in ground gunite pool installed with the Pebblestone plaster. I have a 510' deep well that supplied the water. Naturally I am guessing it stained the pool. It seems to be getting a little better but still looks dingy. The water is pretty and blue, the issues or on the pool sides. Any suggestions? I have brushed and brushed it as well as poured some metal out in it.

Also, where I live the dirt of choice is obviously gumbo, not my choice but I guess it will do. Anyways, when the clean up crew came they kicked some into the pool. Not knowing this at first I started brushing the pool and it left streaks. These also will not come up. Any suggestions?

If you have well water, I would suggest a sequesterant. You can read about Metals in the Water and Metal Stains from Pool School. I would highly suggest you read all of Pool School as it will help you understand your pool and chemistry.
