CH Reagent color Question

I have a TF100 kit I ordered in 2011 and has been stored inside in cool/dry place and noticed the CH reagent (R-0011L) is a rootbeer color (brownish), it is suppose to be blue correct? My CH readings are 0 and I assume because the age of the kit and the reagent went bad. I ordered a new one and should be here at the end of the week.

It should be blue/purple. Sounds like it is bad. The dye based reagents like this are the most likely to go bad sooner.
