Mustang 56 Frame pool pump by Waterway leaking

Pump was leaking so I replaced part 5 (face plate o-ring) because that is where the leak was coming. However now the leak is coming from under the pump where the motor(1) meets the faceplate(4). I am not sure if I am not getting it back together correctly. I tighten all the screws and lubricate gaskets. Could it now be my shaft seal or something else?
    Thanks Danea

Can you post a picture? Usually leaks like that are a bad shaft seal.

Anything ever come of this? I'm 99% sure I need a new shaft seal. I have the same pump.
