How do you remove a waterway poly jet?

I have this 8yr old Spa (built with my pool) and I have 6 of these Waterway Poly Deluxe Jets. Different types. Some of them I can turn then counterclockwise to essentially run full flow and clockwise to cut down the flow. But I cannot get the entire jet off. I see some pictures that seem to show its threaded but I don't see how Im going to unthread it out as it doesn't seem to turn past the stop when its set to full flow. Some of them I cant even turn due to the plaster/pebbletech sort of keeping it from turning.

Id like to remove some of them like the spinner ones where its not spinning as well as it did new and just replace it.

Here is a picture of what one of them looks like.

Jandy JHP2.0 Spillage Pump. Jandy LX400 Heater. Caretaker 99 Floor cleaner. Polaris Leaf-B-Gone. iAqualink.

I think it is another 1/2 turn beyond the stop much like these:
Hydraulics 101; Pump Ed 101; Pump/Pool Spreadsheets; Pump Run Time Study; DIY Acid Dosing; DIY Cover Roller
18'x36' 20k plaster, MaxFlo SP2303VSP, Aqualogic PS8 SWCG, 420 sq-ft Cartridge, Solar, 6 jet spa, 1 HP jet pump, 400k BTU NG Heater
