my pool equipment is down the hill from my pool and I have 2 leaking valve, but i dont know if they go to suction, main drain skimmer or what? any secret to figure it out? so i dont have to block them all to repair?

Welcome to TFP!!!Add a picture and we can likely help some.
Any valve in front of the pump is a suction line (either floor or skimmer)
Any valve after the filter is a return line to the wall jets/etc.
If you have multiple lines in front of the pump, just close one and see where the suction is coming from (it will be hard to see the floor drain working, but if the skimmer is not pulling water, it must be from the floor.).
