hayward aquarite salt generator issues

my aquarite salt generator is showing 4000 for salt and the display works fine. no lights are on it is not generating. i just installed a new cell last week. It started working just fine salt level started going up from 1400 to now 4000 and lights stopped working no lights are on.
the controllers displays this when i scroll thru

i have it set at 50%. salt test was done today 2550ppm

How old is the control unit and what model of replacement cell did you install?

The 9 is 9 volts. When not generating, that should be about 32 volts. I would suspect a failed current limiter.

Jason's questions about the age and new cell will help determine if the limiter is the likely cause.

The unit is 8 yrs old. The new cell is a compucell t 15 this is the same brand and type I have had for last 4-1/2 yrs

At 8 years, and with the symptoms, I would recommend checking the current limiter.
